Copy your files faster with TeraCopy
AVG's latest definitions have been identifying TeraCopy as a threat. It is not a threat at all. Your technician (or yourself) has installed this program with the intent to use it to speed up and improve Windows copying process. The program takes over the Windows process for copying. AVG sees this as a threat. To have AVG permanently ignore TeraCopy as a threat you need to add it to the exceptions for the Resident Shield. To do this:
- Open AVG
- Click on Tools, Advanced Settings, and below Resident Shield, select Excluded Files.
- Click on Add
- Navigate to the Teracopy.exe file (usually: C:\Program Files\Teracopy\... and select Teracopy, click on Open
- Click on Apply and OK
- Close AVG. Done.
